Team Proposal: Three artists, Sara Mapelli, Theodore Holdt, and the to-be-created AI Hive Mind partner.
Our approach involves tailoring a structure to a specific characteristics of a given site. We aim to collaborate closely with residents to determine the optimal placement, size and whether it is interior and exterior, drawing inspiration from the surroundings.
The structure will be a fusion of AI hive mind design. We plan on using a fusion of hand built natural building techniques and high-tech materials ranging from beeswax to soil cement to large-scale 3D printing technology, The unique hive-like construction will showcase the skills of local artisans, blending innovation with traditional craftsmanship. Our goal is to create a lasting and adaptable space, a hub for self-reflection and collaboration. This space will be enhanced by an integrated AI immersive experience of the hive through a multichannel sound system.
Our images are Ai generated and are just the beginning as we will use the to-be-created AI Hive Mind to collaborate on the final design.
As artists already working in The Metaverse we will bring this finished creation into VR platforms, the continuum of SFER IK’s ancestral knowledge will live on in the physical and virtual.

ARTIST STATEMENT:
Sara & Theodore have been building for past 30 years, using alternative low & high-tech materials. They have created large-scale public art in bronze, fused glass, terrazzo, cob, straw-bale, and cordwood. Their skills range from laying tile, welding, electrical, and plumbing to building worlds and digital assets in the Metaverse. Their hand-built structures are located in the US and Guanajuato, Mx. Both Sara and Theo are residents of Mexico.
They also have a huge garden and are beekeepers, they tend their lands with large pollinator gardens and grow food year round. Sara began dancing with honey bees in 2001 at first for a large 6,000 piece puzzle and then to quell peoples fear of bees. She opens two films that educate and inspire the ever need to protect and care for the planet. These films are The Queen of the Sun, “what are the bees telling us” and Seed, the untold story. Theo is a prolific painter. who continues to dive into his dream state pulling out stories that are full of creatures as if they are core samples of lost planets. Together they own the Wildskil Sanctuary, the Wildskil Gallery in the Columbia Gorge and The Golden Bee in Guanajuato Mexico. Currently they have just finished an underground building they call the Sound Pool, created for listening to sound scapes from sound artist all over the world curated by Seth Nehil.
In 2021 Sara founded Artopia, an artist district in the Infiniverse in the Multiverse app. She also works with a group of artist and innovators, such as Paige Dansinger, leading retreats in the Metaverse. Both Sara and Theo have galleries, stores, worlds and digital assets in the Metaverse.
Everyday is an art day in their lives: from food to paint, from building in the elements to VR, from creating with AI to dancing with bees.
