Ferment & Flourish at the Wildskil Sanctuary. Wildskil is located in Washington, just 40 miles east of Portland Oregon.
Join us for a transformative retreat, "Ferment & Flourish in the Gorge," at the serene Wildskil Sanctuary. This immersive experience spans 3 days and 2 nights from Friday, October 4th to Sunday, October 6th.
RETREAT IS LIMITED TO 12 PEOPLE, so please register soon.
Tickets are non-refundable but transferable to a friend.
Over the course of the retreat, you will engage in a variety of hands-on activities, including making yogurt cheese, creative herb salts, lacto ferment pickling of traditional and exotic veggies from the garden. Dive into the art of fruit processing, from picking and washing to juicing or stomping for cider, wine, and vinegar. Additionally, we'll spend time working in the garden, relaxing, and enjoying the sanctuary's peaceful surroundings.
Each day is thoughtfully balanced with productive tasks, relaxation, and 7 artful communal meals (all included). In the afternoons we'll practice a Mind Ferment Meditation during tea time in the underground "Sound Pool" building.
Wildskil was hand built by Sara•Tink (aka TheBee Queen) and painter, Theo Holdt. While you enjoy their Cordwood home and Strawbale Art Studio you may have a lot of questions and they have a plethora of information to share from Futuristic homesteading to the Metaverse.
This retreat is perfect for anyone looking to deepen their understanding of fermentation and enjoy the beauty of the Gorge.
You will leave with some fun edible/drinkable items to remember your experience. Come ferment, flourish, and find peace at Wildskil Sanctuary!
