This is my rough draft text of what became the sound bite for the video “pollination is communication”.
Thank you to the all participants of the 2018 Bee Dance and Pollination feast, Video and Sound Scape : Seth Nehil of Paradise Meow, Bee Keepers: Maria Boar and Theo Holdt and Feast Music: “Márcio DaLari & the Fabulous Freekz”
It’s now our job to protect the life and quality of pollination itself
by stopping pollution, planting organic gardens, supporting local farmers
Pollination creates the seeds for the germination of planetary health for the next generation.
We have depleted our resources. We need quick action fast.
Without the bees pollination of the lands
We will lose our diverse
from to flower to flower
from field to hive
to farmer to store
from food to the table
the clinking of dishes will subside
We have pollinators in all realms
bees, bats, butterflies,
moths, birds, beetles,
ants, and flies.
In order to ensure planetary survival we have it coming from all sides
It’s not enough at the rate in which we trade habitat for the habit of economic growth
Each one of us is hypocrite
the monster is so big
we are tumbling down.
so help the pollinators grab some higher ground
Each one of us pollinates
as we move amongst each other.
In conversation, communication,
constantly transversing, transferring,
motion and magnetism
feet on the surface
Earth's terrestrial ecosystem
will continue to grow
When the bees touch down
and touch down again
to finally take hold,
thousands and thousands
of tiny hooks push into the cells
of my torso.
There is a wave,
an up lift as the find their place.
I fall into their sound.
I hum along.
it’s like dreaming in a rain cloud.
at the same time a warrior is waking
and that warrior has a lot to transmit--
we bind together.
all the bees and the many me
It is an Us moment
together we dance for you
in order for you to see yourself.
to see your power,
to see your humanity,
to see the oneness we are
to see you vulnerability
to see your expansiveness
to quell a fear.
to break a habit
to say hello into the deep eyes of natures powerful fierceness
to be the best we can.
while becoming something unfamiliar and abundant
I have been dancing with Honey Bees since 2001.
